Robert Short Standing Tall For Wyoming

Meet Robert
Robert Short is a entrepreneur, local business man, and elected county commissioner. Robert grew up in Glenrock where he had the values of hard work, integrity, and loyalty instilled by his parents. A victim of the boom and bust cycle afforded him the opportunity to work for both Fortune 500 technology companies and small startups all over the world. In 2008, Robert returned with his family to Douglas and started a small business with his wife. Over the last 10 years his business has expanded to impact energy, agriculture and tourism. His unique experience at creating new businesses, and employment opportunities that diversify the economy based on the existing traditional workplace will be critical as Wyoming transitions our economy over the next 20 years to face new challenges.
As a two-term elected Converse County Commissioner, Robert has been translating his work ethic to listen and meet the needs of the people of Converse County since 2014. He tirelessly donates his time to serve as the Chairman of the Board of the Converse Hope Center which assists those in crisis and provides help for those who experience domestic violence. He also serves Chairman for the Wyoming County Commission Association Committee on Energy and Environment. Robert brings a wealth of working with people of diverse backgrounds, a tireless pursuit of problem solving, an ability to listen to different points of view, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations.
